The remote CANopen DICO 908 I/O unit is the solution designed by SYSTEM Electronics for managing a remote I/O on the CANbus field bus that solves the problem of the high electrical standards needed in an industrial environment and inevitable cost concerns.
Various models are available:
• DICO908 with 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs
• DICO908/I with 16 digital inputs
• DICO908/O with 16 digital outputs
• DICO908/A with analog I/Os.
Two of the digital inputs have a higher bandwidth so that both phases of an incremental encoder (quadruple and twin direction modes) can be counted or the edges of a single phase (twin or single direction modes).
If a module is configured in PWM mode, the digital outputs can also be used as analog outputs (to command electric heaters, for example).
The DICO 908 modules implement the CANopen standard DS-401 device profile. |
