System Ceramics is the first division of System S.p.A. group and it has been operating for almost 35 years. It acquired an absolute international leadership as for ceramics automation and decoration. System Ceramics history is marked by fundamental milestones that marked important changes in ceramic production history. System Ceramics revolutionized - in different areas - the way of producing ceramics and, at the same time, “introduced” new industrialization concepts that stimulated further innovations in this sector.
The vocation for ceramic decoration started right at the beginning of its activity when, in 1971, System introduced the first rotary silk-screen printing machine, ROCKET. In 1972, PLANAR was launched, for tile planarity control and, a few years after, OUTILINER was introduced, for size control: tile quality control was always the main target. WRAP AROUND - the first automatic packaging machine for finished product boxes, with flat cardboard layers - was created by System in 1977. In 1982 System first installed in a ceramic plant the controlled-grips, automatic palletizer, FALCON. These years of thorough research culminated in 1994 with the introduction of ROTOCOLOR, a decorating system able to interpret the needs of a growing market and in particular to advance ceramic development future trends. ROTOCOLOR has been dominating, unrivalled, the world market of ceramic decoration for ten years and its potentialities are not exhausted, yet. During these ten years, it originated manifold evolutions as well. To improve internal research and give a valid customer support for creating new tile types, System Ceramics established its own vanguard chemical and graphical laboratory.
Nowadays, the company can satisfy each decoration, sorting, packaging, palletizing, storage and handling requirement inside a ceramic plant, thanks to its technologically advanced solutions. A few years ago it started exporting its end-of-line system in the sector of natural stones, with successful results as well.
